The Philadelphia Eagles may need to say thank you to Washington Commanders receiver Stefon Diggs.
With the Eagles winning 17-9, Diggs was called for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after scoring on a 10-yard touchdown reception from Jayden Daniels.
Diggs caught the ball near the end zone, ran in and then, in celebration, leapt up and grabbed the base of the goalpost and hugged it.
The move violated the "Jimmy Graham Rule," which prohibits players from touching or hugging the goalpost.

The 15-yard penalty kept the Commanders from trying to tie the game with a 2-point conversion, making the score 17-16.
The Eagles scored on the next drive, pushing their lead to 24-16.
Why can't players grab the goalposts?
There have been cases where a goalpost was damaged, causing a delay in the game.
In 2013, Graham physically bent the goalpost during a dunk celebration, causing a 20-minute delay.
