Former Top Chef star Eric Adjepong allegedly violated a restraining order filed by ex-wife Janell Mack. According to reports, this happened over a year before their 7-year-old daughter Lennox was granted a protective order against him. Adjepong and his ex, Mack, confirmed it through social media posts and media statements.
A report from TMZ revealed that Mack had obtained a temporary restraining order against Adjepong in January 2025. It remains unclear what prompted Mack to get a restraining order against him. However, one day after the order was set, Adjepong allegedly messaged Mack on the OurFamilyWizard app to get on a FaceTime call with their daughter. Following a court-issued summons, the Top Chef star was ordered to never contact Mack again, with the order effective through February 4, 2025.

Over a year later, their daughter Lennox was granted a restraining order against Adjepong in July. The order was issued following accusations of alleged abuse by Adjepong towards his daughter. According to a statement given to TMZ by Adjepong, the allegations “arose in the context of a long running divorce and custody proceeding.”
Adjepong was ordered to break all contact with Lennox, including staying away from her school and childcare providers, surrendering his firearms, and more. However, no criminal charges were filed against him. In a July 18 post on Instagram, Mack wrote, “My daughter was just granted a protective order against her father because she was brave enough to speak up against who should have been one of the most trusted adults in her life.”

“My foremost priority will always be my daughter,” said Adjepong. “I dearly love her, and as her first line of defense, I am here to encourage and protect her, and would never weaponize or abuse her, full stop. I will continue to protect her privacy, innocence and respect the legal process, and trust that truth, my character and time reveal what headlines cannot.”
Adjepong told TMZ through an attorney, “It is my fervent hope that in the future my ex-wife and I can resolve these matters privately and through the proper legal channels, rather than in the press, if only for the well-being of our daughter.”
Adjepong and Mack married in 2017 and separated in 2021. The protective order against the Top Chef star will last until July 10, 2027.
