Tom Holland is having one of the busiest summers of his life — and “absolutely loving” it.

The Spider-Man actor, 30, stars in both The Odyssey, in theaters now, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth installment of his franchise out July 31.

During a July 22 appearance on the Dish Podcast, Holland opened up about “loving” being on two press tours for the movies at the same time, as he’s proud to be in both. However, that hasn’t always been the case.

“When you’re doing press for movies you’re really proud of, it’s really easy,” he explained. “Because when they ask you questions about why should people go and watch this movie, you’re not lying to anyone. You really feel like people should go see it.”

Holland continued, “I’ve had experiences before when people say, like, ‘Why should you see this movie?’ And in the back of your mind, you’re like, ‘You shouldn’t, because it’s s---,’ ” he said, with a laugh.

Holland didn’t name the movies he was referring to, instead going on to praise The Odyssey and the upcoming Spider-Man.

“It’s felt really like a bit of a victory lap, to be honest,” Holland said. “I’ve really enjoyed it. I’m super proud of both of the films.”

He added that he had just come off of doing three days of back-to-back press with Anne Hathaway, who plays his character Telemachus’ mother Penelope in Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s poem. The actor lauded working with Hathaway, 43, as an “awesome learning experience,” since she’s “such a pro.”

Next up, Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker five years after fans last saw him in the role in 2021’s No Way Home, which concludes with the world forgetting his identity, leaving Peter alone and friendless. Now, Spider-Man faces a new threat and must somehow jog his former girlfriend MJ’s (Zendaya) and best friend Ned’s (Jacob Batalon) memory to fight alongside him.

Joining the cast are Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher.

Holland has played the character since 2016, when he was first introduced in Captain America: Civil War.
