Tom Holland is having one of the busiest summers of his life â and âabsolutely lovingâ it.
The Spider-Man actor, 30, stars in both The Odyssey, in theaters now, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth installment of his franchise out July 31.
During a July 22 appearance on the Dish Podcast, Holland opened up about âlovingâ being on two press tours for the movies at the same time, as heâs proud to be in both. However, that hasnât always been the case.
âWhen youâre doing press for movies youâre really proud of, itâs really easy,â he explained. âBecause when they ask you questions about why should people go and watch this movie, youâre not lying to anyone. You really feel like people should go see it.â

Holland continued, âIâve had experiences before when people say, like, âWhy should you see this movie?â And in the back of your mind, youâre like, âYou shouldnât, because itâs s---,â â he said, with a laugh.
Holland didnât name the movies he was referring to, instead going on to praise The Odyssey and the upcoming Spider-Man.
âItâs felt really like a bit of a victory lap, to be honest,â Holland said. âIâve really enjoyed it. Iâm super proud of both of the films.â

He added that he had just come off of doing three days of back-to-back press with Anne Hathaway, who plays his character Telemachusâ mother Penelope in Christopher Nolanâs adaptation of Homerâs poem. The actor lauded working with Hathaway, 43, as an âawesome learning experience,â since sheâs âsuch a pro.â

Next up, Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker five years after fans last saw him in the role in 2021âs No Way Home, which concludes with the world forgetting his identity, leaving Peter alone and friendless. Now, Spider-Man faces a new threat and must somehow jog his former girlfriend MJâs (Zendaya) and best friend Nedâs (Jacob Batalon) memory to fight alongside him.
Joining the cast are Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher.
Holland has played the character since 2016, when he was first introduced in Captain America: Civil War.
