It’s been 10 years since Charlie Hunnam and Tom Holland played father and son, but they’re still as close as ever.

The actors went viral during the 2026 Emmys for a surprise reunion caught on camera by *Deadline* on Monday. “Tom Holland chatting with Charlie Hunnam in between the commercial break at the #Emmys,” the outlet captioned the clip. The comment section went wild with the *Sons of Anarchy** *and *Spider-Man* crossover, with some fans just learning that the two had worked together before.

Hunnam and Holland starred in the 2016 movie *The Lost City of Z* as Percy Fawcett and Jack Fawcett, respectively. The film is based on the real story of Percy, an explorer who disappeared with his son Jack in the Amazon rainforest in 1925 while searching for a hidden civilization. Their physical remains were never found. (Sienna Miller and Robert Pattinson also star in the film.)

While promoting the 2016 film, Holland recalled breaking his nose on the final day of production. As the story goes, the film’s director, James Gray, didn’t believe that Holland could backflip after seeing a video of the Marvel star.

“I say, jokingly, you didn’t do that. That’s CGI. That’s camera tricks and mirrors,” Gray recalled at the time. So Holland did it. Gray noted it was a “slow-motion” moment because Holland had “period boots on and are doing this flip in the jungle.”

Holland, who has “been a gymnast” for years, said he “just broke my face” with the fall. “I stood up, I thought I knocked my teeth out, and the makeup artist was laughing at me,” the actor added. “And when she saw my face, it went from ‘Haha’ to ‘Oh, medic, medic!’”

Despite the onset mishap, Hunnam said it was “humbling” to play Holland’s dad in the film during an interview at the time.

“Time passes very quickly and, before you know it, you’re playing guys’ fathers in films,” he said. “It certainly was, sort of, an epiphany for me... this is where I am in my career, why I’m playing the dad, not the son.”

During Monday night’s Emmys, Hunnam also crossed paths with his former costar’s partner, Zendaya.

“I just almost stepped on her dress,” the *Monster: The Ed Gein Story* actor told *E! News* on the red carpet. “Can you imagine? Devastating.”

Per Hunnam, the *Euphoria** *star “was being ushered at full speed” down the red carpet. “I just stepped back right as she was rushing by and almost stepped on her dress,” he explained. “Thankfully, I didn’t. My wife looked at me like, ‘Dude, don’t be a dork.’”
