Nearly six months after his DUI arrest, Tiger Woods is back on the driving range.
The golfer, 50, was seen hitting balls during a clinic at Liberty National in New Jersey ahead of the Nexus Cup, in a video shared on Woods’ TGR Live Events Instagram account on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
“Shaping shots on the range today at NEXUS Cup,” the caption reads. The PGA Tour reshared the video on their social media accounts, adding, “Tiger Woods is back on the range! His last PGA Tour start was July 2024.”
The Nexus Cup is an amateur event that raises funds for Woods’ TGR Foundation, according to the organization’s website.
Woods’ appearance comes two weeks after he changed his plea in his DUI case from not guilty to no contest for lesser charges during a Martin County, Fla. court hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 1. He was issued a driver’s license suspension and fine, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE.
The golfer was arrested and charged with a DUI, causing property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful urine test after a rollover crash in Jupiter Island on March 27, in which his Land Rover rolled over when he “overtook” a truck carrying a pressure-cleaning trailer, according to an arrest affidavit previously obtained by PEOPLE.

After administering a sobriety test, deputies “observed several signs of impairment,” including “bloodshot and glassy” eyes and “extremely dilated” pupils, the affidavit alleged.

After the accident, Woods broke his silence on the arrest and said he was “stepping away” to seek treatment.
“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” the golfer said in a statement on March 31.
“I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery. I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally,” Woods continued. “I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”
The golfer spent six weeks in a rehabilitation program in Switzerland from April to early May, and was seen back in the U.S. on May 13.
Woods is “determined” to play golf again, a source told PEOPLE in May.

“He has to get his pain management going in the right direction and also be able to continue a fitness routine, which will help him do the best he can when seriously playing golf,” the source explained. “This could be tough. But it’s something he wants.”
