Sex and the City star Kristin Davis is not ready to walk away from Charlotte York after more than 25 years.

After six seasons, two feature films and three seasons of the spinoff series, And Just Like That..., fans said goodbye to Charlotte, Samantha, Miranda and Carrie in August 2025.

Speaking to costar Mario Cantone—who played Charlotte's friend Anthony Marantino in the original series and spinoff—on the Sunday, January 18, episode of her podcast, Are You a Charlotte?, Davis admitted she "wanted one more season."

"I don’t care what anybody says, that was not a series finale," Cantone agreed. "It was a season finale, but that wasn’t a series finale."

It was first announced in August that the season 3 finale would be the end for the Sex and the City spinoff.

"And just like that…the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end," writer and director Michael Patrick King said in an Instagram post at the time. "While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That…season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop."

He continued, "SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn’t want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season. It’s with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years."

While King's statement appears to be the definitive end to the beloved franchise, Davis admitted she has not watched the finale.

"I’m in denial and I would like to remain that way," she told Cantone. "This is not based on anything real. In my mind, we're going to do something else. I don't think it’ll be a whole season, but I think we will do something else. But obviously, no one knows who owns us right now, you know. So there’s that that’s got to be worked."
