WHOA. SERENA WILLIAMS IS BACK IN TENNIS AFTER RETIREMENT! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!!!
She's been out of tennis since 2022, but there have been some rumors since then that seemed to indicate that a comeback was possible. On Monday, Williams posted a video with a Nike ad showing her practicing, and then her phone rings. "Good news travels fast" read the caption.
The next minute, the announcement was out -- she'll play doubles at the Queen's, which is ahead of Wimbledon 2026... which could mean she's back for the tournament at the All England Club.
HOLY COW. And this is right in the middle of the French Open. Just incredible news.
Who will she play doubles with at Queen's at the HSBC Championships?
No word on that.
