Prince Harry was reportedly criticized for not understanding royal diplomacy amid the drama surrounding King Charles’ letter. According to a source, he has been mocked with two brutal words. They suggested that the Duke of Sussex might not have grasped how diplomacy works at the royal level. For those unversed, Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly caught off guard after the king described their status in the letter.

Prince Harry didn’t reportedly like King Charles’ letter, in which the Sussexes were labeled “private citizens.” A source told RadarOnline that the duke has been branded “too dim” for failing to grasp the diplomatic move. “There is real frustration within royal circles because Harry can sometimes appear too dim to grasp how diplomacy at this level actually operates.”

They clarified that the letter was a “formal guidance” distributed to the officials. Lord Benyon, the Lord Chamberlain and the Royal Household’s most senior officer, wrote the missive on the monarch’s request. It was said to be issued to remind senior government and military figures that the Sussexes were non-working royals.

However, the wording and timing seemed to create friction between the Firm and the Sussexes. Meanwhile, another royal insider wondered why Harry “misunderstood” the palace’s view. “The King’s position has already been made clear. The Sussexes are not working royals, and their independent activities cannot be allowed to create uncertainty among government, military or other official bodies about whom they represent,” they added.

Furthermore, one source also noted that Harry could reportedly have “disliked the terminology.” They claimed that the king allegedly didn’t want any confusion about the Sussexes’ status in reality.

Meanwhile, another report suggested that Meghan Markle and Harry were “surprised” by the move. They have reportedly been irked over the wording used to describe their status in the letter. It was said that the couple might consider legal action.
