According to Naughty But Nice, Palace insiders fear Harry and Meghan could turn future disagreements into public confrontations. A royal source claimed the couple now feel less concerned about how the Palace might respond to their public pushback.

“Harry and Meghan feel completely unleashed,” the source told Naughty But Nice. “They believe silence failed them before, so now their attitude is: if the Palace says something they don’t like, they will answer. They’re no longer afraid of the consequences.” The claim comes as people pay fresh attention to the couple’s relationship with the Royal Family after their return to Britain.

The latest disagreement reportedly involves a letter from King Charles confirming that Harry and Meghan are private citizens. The couple reportedly questioned why the letter arrived when it did, especially as an important meeting about their long-running request for royal security was expected to take place. However, royal author Phil Dampier has challenged their complaints about the timing.

Dampier, who wrote Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan in Their Own Words, argued that “I think Harry and Meghan like drama. I think they like being the center of attention,” Dampier said. Dampier pointed to the couple’s own return to Britain as an example.

Harry and Meghan reportedly returned to the U.K. without giving the wider Royal Family much advance notice. Dampier believes this makes their complaints about the timing of the Palace letter hard to justify. “They didn’t take timing into consideration when they suddenly moved back without telling anyone,” he said.
