Pregnant Joy-Anna Duggar Reveals If She’s ‘Done’ Having Kids After Baby No. 4

Joy-Anna Duggar and husband Austin Forsyth are unsure if they will have more children after their fourth baby

The couple has started discussing whether they are ready to move on from this phase of life

Joy-Anna announced her pregnancy in September, sharing her excitement and love for their growing family

Joy-Anna Duggar is sharing if she plans to continue growing her family after she welcomes her fourth baby.

While speaking with sister Jinger Duggar Vuolo on their podcast Call Your Sister, the pregnant mom of three revealed if she and husband Austin Forsyth are planning on welcoming more kids in the future.

“I don’t know,” Joy-Anna, 28, admitted to her sister Jinger when she asked. “Did you feel pressure to just have as many as you could? Because I feel like I felt that in our first pregnancy. And it’s something that Austin and I have had to have real conversations about because I feel like it’s something that’s really important.”

She added that her husband Austin also isn’t sure if they should continue growing their family.

“Austin, this pregnancy was the first time he was like, ‘You know what? We might be done after this one. Like, I don’t know. How do you feel about that?’ ” Joy-Anna shared. “We’ve actually started having those conversations, and it’s crazy to me that we might already be there. Like, we’re done with this phase of life. And so that part of it is bittersweet.”

Joy-Anna explained that while she does currently feel like she’s done having kids, she’s not sure if she’ll change her mind in the future.

The Counting On alum shares her three kids — sons Gideon, 8, and Gunner, 3, and daughter Evelyn, 5 — with Forsyth.

On Sept. 2, Joy-Anna shared a post on Instagram announcing that she is pregnant and expecting her fourth baby. In the photos, the pregnant mom of three could be seen wearing a long white dress that accentuated her growing belly. One photo featured Forsyth, 32, placing his hands under her belly, smiling down at her. In another, the two held up sonograms and leaned in for a kiss.

“Coming 2027!! So much joy, so much excitement, and so much love for this little one already. God knew we needed you 🤍,” they wrote in their caption.

In July 2025, Joy-Anna opened up about experiencing a miscarriage at 20 weeks in 2019 while appearing on an episode of her sister Jinger’s podcast, The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast. As she began discussing her story, Joy-Anna became emotional.

“I guess looking back, I did have kind of a gut feeling of something may not be right,” she said. “But also I’m like, ‘I don’t want to over-exaggerate.’ I don’t want to read into things... I just remember feeling so numb leaving the ultrasound.”

“I’m so thankful that I had [my mom] there that had been through it before,” she continued. “And I had a really good support team, but even with all of that, it was extremely difficult.”
