Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have welcomed their first baby together.
“She always wanted to be a mom,” a source said. “This was something very important to her. She sounds very happy.”
The insider added, “They’re figuring everything out together. She doesn’t want to miss any of it.”
Make room for Mother Monster! Days after People confirmed that Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, welcomed their first baby together, a source is now sharing how she’s adjusting to motherhood.

“She always wanted to be a mom,” the insider added. “This was something very important to her. She sounds very happy.”
The source continued, “Right now, she’s enjoying being away from the public eye and having this special time with the baby. Michael is great with the baby. They’re figuring everything out together. She doesn’t want to miss any of it.”
The 40-year-old singer was also “ready to slow down after her tour,” according to the insider. Her Mayhem Ball Tour ended in April.

The A Star Is Born actress has previously spoken about her desire to have children.
“I will say I am very excited to have kids,” she said in a 2020 interview with InStyle. “I look forward to being a mom. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive. It’s so funny — everyone works out of my house every day. When they come in, I always say, ‘Welcome to the Womb!’”

And during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last October, she added, “I would like to do many things. All of these things are open. But what I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.”

Gaga and Polansky, a venture capitalist, met at a party in 2019, and she later hard-launched their relationship on Instagram in 2020.
In a 2025 interview with Elle, he spoke about what it’s like to be with a megastar.
“Accepting that you won’t have the privacy others might have was the hardest part,” Polansky said.
“But Stefani’s comfort with it and patience with me has been amazing. Our relationship is probably a lot like everyone else’s. We just have to figure out how to do some of it in public. That makes it even more important for us to have strong friendships and close family relationships. We find normalcy where we can.”
