While speaking to PEOPLE, Electra revealed the rosary tattoo on her back was inspired by the people who've wronged her

Carmen Electra is sending a message to people who have bad intentions with the latest addition to her tattoo collection.
While attending Steven Tyler’s 7th Annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday, Feb. 1, the actress, 53, spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about her new back tattoo. The ink, inspired by people who've hurt her throughout the years, features a pair of praying hands holding onto a rosary.
“It's pretty much single needle, mostly single needle,” she tells PEOPLE of her tattoo. “I'm obviously really into tattoos lately.”
Showing PEOPLE the tattoos up and down her forearms, she adds, “These are pretty much almost all new, except for that one.”

The Baywatch star then spoke candidly about the meaning behind her back tattoo.
“I got the back. You know, I've been stabbed in the back so many times,” she says. “I figured if I have God's hands on my back, go ahead and try to stab me and see what kind of karma you get.”
She adds, “Oh, yes, I've had so many swords I pulled out of my back. I've turned them into paddles, and I've used them as paddles to get to shore. Now I'm on the other side, and now I see and now I know what I don't want.”
When asked if she was speaking about being stabbed in the back in her personal or professional life, she replies, “Everything, dating.”
Electra’s past relationships included her ex-husband Dave Navarro, whom she was married to from 2003 to 2007.
She was also married to former professional basketball player Dennis Rodman from 1998 to 1999.

Revealing to PEOPLE her dating deal breakers, the beauty icon says, “I don't like liars. It’s just really nice when you're with someone who's just really into you. I have had that before. It obviously didn't last.”
“But once you know what it feels like to really be with someone who is so there for you, you can't undo that feeling,” she continues. “You know it's just beautiful. Somebody who's very romantic. I remember when I was dating Dave, I was so not romantic, and he was teaching me how to be romantic, but now I am.”
Referring to the notion that Navarro is a tough rockstar, Electra says, “He is, but no, he's so romantic.”
She tells PEOPLE that the musician would plan things for her, adding, “Like the 10th of every month, we would get together, because we met on the 10th, and that was all his idea.”
“Like, we're gonna have a special dinner for the 10th of every month, because we met on this date, cute things like that were really thoughtful,” she says.
When asked if her ex ruined it for other men due to Electra now needing that level of romance, the star says, “Exactly. There you go.”
